Handshake teams up with Accenture to boost diversity and inclusion in graduate recruitment

June 7, 2022

On Tuesday 28th June, Handshake and Accenture will take to the stage at the ISE Student Recruitment Conference 2022 - discussing routes to ensuring inclusion and diversity in graduate recruitment today.

As a world leader in technology consultancy and professional services, the team at Accenture believes that positive change can only happen when different people with diverse perspectives come together. And – they say – central to achieving this ambition is a recruitment strategy that prioritises diversity, equality and inclusion.

The session promises to closely examine the role technology will play in facilitating connections between students, graduates and employers – making the case that platforms like early careers network Handshake have a vital role to play in creating a fairer, more diverse and inclusive recruitment landscape.

Chris Anthony,  Head of Employer Sales at Handshake says: “We’re looking forward to a lively session which raises new ideas on how to tackle an important issue. Attendees will benefit from hearing how Accenture has successfully improved the way graduates enter the world of work, ultimately fuelling a more sustainable and diverse talent pipeline. And, importantly, we will provide attendees with concrete advice on how to build a more inclusive recruitment strategy which is fit for the future.”

Handshake will also take the opportunity to share the results of its latest survey with the ISE – looking at graduate employers’ priorities over the next twelve months. The new ‘Graduate Employer Priorities 2023’ report uncovers an optimistic picture of the next twelve months, where graduate recruitment is on the rise – but where employers need to work harder than ever to secure and retain the best talent.
