Handshake partners with HEPI to boost careers development in Higher Education

November 15, 2021

Following a period of significant growth at Handshake, we’re delighted to announce a strategic partnership with the Higher Education Policy Institute (HEPI) in the UK.

The partnership builds on a long history of collaboration between our two organisations, who have shared experiences and insight to ensure Higher Education provision meets the needs of students, employers and the wider community.

This new agreement will provide Handshake with privileged access to HEPI’s high quality information and advice, as well as opportunities to engage directly with HEPI’s extensive networks of senior sector leaders and policymakers. In return, HEPI will benefit from Handshake’s unique insight as it works to drive a more equitable and fair graduate recruitment landscape - tearing down structural barriers and ensuring opportunities for all. It will also see Handshake contribute expert insights to HEPI’s renowned industry reports and government guidance.

Dimitar Stanimiroff, General Manager, EMEA, says that he’s looking forward to collaborating with HEPI to tackle some of the key issues facing students and graduates in today’s tough jobs market.  “HEPI shares our vision of the need to democratise opportunity, and the huge potential of networks like Handshake to improve prospects for students from all walks of life,” he says.

This news comes hot on the heels of the appointment of LinkedIn’s Charles Hardy as head of university partnerships, and the news that Handshake has been selected as the new career platform of choice by four more UK institutions: Birkbeck, University of London, Kingston University, The University of Bradford, and the University of Central Lancashire.
