Appointments Product Updates

July 4, 2022

We are introducing product improvements in Appointments for Careers professionals to more efficiently share their expert guidance with students.

At Handshake, we always value partner input and constantly strive to improve our product to provide a better experience for our partnering institutions. After consulting with our partners at Appointments advisory boards and gathering feedback from support tickets, we are launching a few improvements for our Career Services partners to share resources more easily with students.

What’s New?

Appointments: Hyperlinks in Comments

We understand that the ability to share resources in the comments section can significantly improve your experience as Careers professionals while communicating with your students.

Now, all Careers teams will be able to easily attach URLs in comments to students following an appointment to give students further tailored support, whether that’s a link to an event that is helpful to the student or a best practice article you recommended to the student at the appointment.

Please see the below gif for a preview of this feature.

Students can also attach URLs in appointment comments, such as links to their CV before their appointment with you.

Please see the gif below for an example:

Soon to be launched

Appointments: Customising “no available time slots” Messaging

Previously on Handshake, students received a generic message when appointments slots were booked up. From mid-July, you will be able to customise your own “no available timeslots” message to students, so that your teams have the power to direct students to the right resources and continue to engage with them through your guidance.

Please see the below gif for a preview of this feature.

Thank you to all our partners who are involved in the advisory board and product discussions to help us improve the Handshake product. If you have any further questions about this feature, please feel free to contact our dedicated support team.
