An Insight into the Handshake Access 2021 Event

This free-to-attend two-day virtual event run by Handshake US will feature interactive discussions on best practices in the field of career services and panels with leading thinkers in higher education. You can also expect keynotes and Q&As with authors and policy makers, as well as important networking opportunities with other HE professionals across the globe.

What to expect from Handshake Access 2021

Access 2021 will bring together all of our US higher education partners in a two-day virtual event featuring: 

  • Interactive discussions on best practices in the field of career services
  • Panels with leading thinkers in higher education and career education
  • Keynotes and Q&As with authors and policy makers, such as bestselling author Lindsey Pollak 
  • Networking moments to create connections for all attendees.

Thursday 3rd June

04:30 PM  - Meet and network with your peers before the conference begins.

05:00 PM - Welcome Address from Handshake CESO, Christine Cruzvergara. 

05:30 PM - Breakout Sessions (including UK Partner Case Study from the University of Liverpool). 

06:30 PM - Keynote Speech: “The Future of Work” 

Friday 4th June

06:00 PM - Keynote Address: “Recalculating: How Career Educators Can Help Students in the Next Era of Work

06:15 PM - Break Out Sessions (including a deep dive into how employers and students are using Handshake).

Key Sessions to Attend 

A presentation featuring our Handshake UK Partner, University of Liverpool, will take place during the breakout session on Thursday 3rd June at 5.30pm. You can expect to hear some key success and learnings from their experience using Handshake in the UK!

On Friday 4th June at 5pm BST, New York Times bestselling author Lindsey Pollak and Handshake’s CESO Christine Cruzvergara about how career educators can help their students—and their teams—recalculate for the future of work.
